Day 6

March 27, 2020 by American Fossil Hunt

Day 6 of ‘shelter in place’ brings a Riker case of Mazon Creek fossils collected ~2017 out of a box I’ve been meaning to go through. There is a jellyfish, and a few species of plants.

Followed by a walk in the park with the pup.

Blackwell park is unfortunately closed to fishing.

A dead, stocked trout. Either from this year, or a holdover from the fall stocking.

And a few more pheasant tail flies for the flybox tied in the evening.

Also, today, the United States became the first country to have more than 100,000 positive Coronavirus cases, surpassing China after just a few short weeks.

At this time, while Illinois and many other states are practicing ‘shelter in place’, there are many states that are not.
