Fossil Collecting Maps, Shop, and Blog
American Fossil Hunt launched in 2016 to provide a digital home for my outdoor and fossil collecting trips. The blog has the most recent reports, with detailed information on collecting the Peace River, Shark Tooth Hill, and of course Mazon Creek, which I am fortunate to be able to collect quite frequently. I collect Pit 11 every summer, and have found incredible specimens in the past 5 years. There are over 2,000 acres where these fossils can be found, but it is quite difficult in its present-day and overgrown state so I created a short field guide to help others navigate the area.
